The Republic of Seychelles is an island country covering an archipelago of 115 islands in the Indian Ocean, to the East of Mainland Africa. It has an estimated population of approximately 84,000 people, and the official languages are French, English, and Seychellois Creole.
The economy of Seychelles is supported largely by the tourism sector that employs 30% of the population. There is also a modest export sector and a focus on decreasing the country's dependence on tourism.
